TUT Country Locale

Many Windows XP users complain to us that TUT is showing the wrong country locale (Country Location).

Well, on this particular issue TUT is actually 100% correct.

Unlike with Windows 95/98/ME/NT4, there are 4 different places in Windows XP where the correct Country Location needs to be set.  Many users are not aware of this with the result that, for those users, part of Windows XP will have the correct Country Location set, but other parts of Windows XP will still be set at the default Country Location which is USA.

To correct this, do as follows :

  1. Double-click the  Regional and Languages Options  icon in the Control Panel.

  2. You will see on the first screen the first two places where you need to set the Country.

  3. Next, click on the  ADVANCED  tab.  That tab has the third Windows Country setting which you need to set.

  4. Lastly click on the  LANGUAGES  tab and then on the  Details  button.  This is the fourth and last Country setting you need to verify and adjust if necessary.
